The chip makers chairman, Mark Liu, explained why TSMCs top tech would stay in Taiwan, despite growing threats from China and worries from the United States.

This makes Washingtonians very nervous. TSMC is the leader in the semiconductor industry. The United States cannot do without it, and that's 80 miles off of the coast China.
