NASA calls off spacewalk at last minute as astronaut suit malfunctions
·1 min
Two US astronauts had to cancel their plans for a spacewalk due to a malfunction in one of their spacesuits. The spacewalk was called off because of a water leak in the cooling unit of one of the suits. The astronauts were supposed to remove a faulty electronics box from a communications antenna on the exterior of the International Space Station. The water leak raised concerns about possible damage to electrical connectors. This is the second time a spacewalk has been canceled recently due to spacesuit issues. The delayed spacewalk could potentially affect the return of Boeing’s Starliner capsule from its first crewed test flight.
