Drone jammers sought by Chinese trade group for Russian buyers
A trade body in China has reportedly sought drone detectors and jammers for potential Russian buyers. This has raised concerns about China possibly supplying dual-use technology to Russia. Foreign companies are said to be seeking unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) equipment, including drone detectors and jammers. The procurement notice was posted on the official WeChat account of the Guangdong Provincial Association for Promotion of Trade with Russia. The association stated that buyers were interested in interference generators, drone detectors, drone suppressors, and communication band jammers. The posting of this notice comes amid pressure on China from Western governments to ensure that military-related dual-use products are not reaching Russia’s defense sector and the Ukrainian battlefield.
