BYD Debuts First Pickup Truck in Mexico

BYD, a Chinese automaker, has launched its first luxury plug-in hybrid pickup truck in Mexico. This move aims to compete with global rivals and tap into China’s second-largest market for auto exports. The company, which is backed by Warren Buffett, is known as the world’s largest producer of electric vehicles. The midsize Shark model will be available at prices starting from 899,980 Mexico pesos ($53,407) for the GL version and MXN969,800 for the upscale GS version.
