5 things to know about the massive AT&T network outage

Tens of thousands of Americans experienced a nearly 12-hour AT&T network outage on Thursday. The outage affected phone calls, texts, internet access, and even emergency services. There were reports of flooded 911 lines as people tried to check if their calls were going through. This incident raised concerns about the possibility of malicious activity but there is currently no evidence to support this. AT&T restored service to all customers by around 3 pm ET and apologized for the inconvenience caused.
