American Century Investments promoted Ribeiro. They prioritized continuity and momentum
KANSAS CITY (Mo.), Feb. 21, 2023/PRNewswire/ -- American Century Investments is a $215 billion* global asset management company. Patricia Ribeiro was promoted to co-chief investor officer (CIO), of the Global Growth Equity discipline, effective February 15. She will be sharing the role with Keith Creveling CFA until May 31, when she will step down. These changes will not affect the management of any Global Growth Equity investment strategies.
Ribeiro will assume the responsibility for the investment management function. This includes process oversight, investment culture, resource allocation, and talent development for specific teams in the Global Growth discipline. These include the Global/Non U.S. Large Cap, Emerging Markets and Global/Non U.S. small cap and U.S. small Cap Growth teams. She will be reporting to Victor Zhang, American Century Investments Chief Investment Officer, for her CIO responsibilities in the larger Global Growth Equity discipline. Ribeiro's role in portfolio management will not be affected.

American Century's success with Patricia Ribeiro. Patricia Ribeiro joined American Century in 2006 as a portfolio manager for the Emerging Markets strategy. In 2009, she was promoted to the Emerging Markets team leader and in 2014 to senior portfolio manager. Since its inception in 2021 Ribeiro has been the chair of the Sustainable Investment Council. She played a key role in the firm's progress in sustainable investing. From 2018 to 2021, she was a member of the Expanded Management Committee. The Expanded Management Committee consists of senior executives from American Century who collaborate closely with the firm’s Management Committee to improve our capabilities. Since 2021, she has been a member American Century's DEI Committee.
Ribeiro worked at American Century from 2006 to 2006. She was the co-director of Global Research at Citigroup Asset Management as well as head of Latin American Equity Research at J.P. Morgan Investment Management. In addition to managing portfolios at both companies, Since 1984, she has been working in the investment industry. Ribeiro has a Rutgers University bachelor's in accounting and fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
American Century's success: Keith Creveling. Creveling started at American Century in 1999 as an investment analyst for the Global/Non U.S. Large Cap team. Creveling was promoted from portfolio manager to portfolio manager in 2002. Creveling was then promoted to co-CIO for the Global Growth Equity discipline in 2014. Creveling, who spent nearly nine years as coCIO for the Global Growth Equity discipline has decided to return to his primary focus on portfolio management. This remains his true passion. Creveling will continue to manage the portfolios for the Global Growth strategies.
