Great Divide to open 5th taproom in Lone Tree

Lone Tree will be the next location for a Denver-based brewery.

Great Divide Brewing Co., Vibe Concepts and the Lone Tree Community will open their second Great Divide Brewery & Roadhouse at 9899 Schwab Way. The new restaurant will have an 8,200 square foot space, with a 1,300 square foot patio.

Vibe Concepts, the parent company of many Colorado restaurants including Tstreet Roadhouse, Roadhouse Boulder Depot and Reivers, is located in Denver. The company opened its first Great Divide Brewery & Roadhouse, in Castle Rock, three years ago. It is now ready to expand to Lone Tree.

Great Divide founder Brian Dunn stated that they were excited for this reason.

The new retail location is located on the first floor of the parking structure on the southeast corner of the Charles Schwab Campus.

'I am from Lone Tree, and I understand the lack that we have here. Dan Shipp, managing partner of Vibe Concepts, said: 'I just think it lacks a nice beer brewery where you could bring your family along or bring people for business or go on a date.

The new Great Divide Brewery and Roadhouse can seat 300 people. Shipp stated that the new space will cost more than $5million to build. This money will come from the five partners of the business.

Great Divide won't be operating out of its new Lone Tree location, but it will be able to offer 15 Great Divide beers in the taproom. Some of these will come from Castle Rock, while the rest will be from Great Divide distributors.

Shipp hopes to complete another lease in Lakewood’s Belmar Shopping district in the coming months.

Dunn stated that there was still a need for more sites in the market.

Great Divide and Vibe Concepts will open their new restaurant by the end the year and employ between 80 and 100 people. Shipp is working on a menu for the leisurely lunch crowd that includes items like burgers pizzas steaks and salads.

Shipp refused to reveal the amount of rent he pays at the new location but said that the new restaurant and bar received some free rent as a part of its lease agreement

Great Divide has locations in Ballpark and the River North Art District as well as at Denver International Airport.

We don't look for new locations in the downtown area because our existing two locations are so close. Therefore, downtown isn't a priority for us. Dunn stated that he believes there are more opportunities in the outer areas.
