The wholesale price of gasoline for October delivery experienced a 2 cent increase, ending at $2.59 per gallon. The prices for October heating oil and October natural gas remained steady at $3.11 per gallon and $2.77 per 1,000 cubic feet respectively.

The U.S. dollar appreciated against the Japanese yen, moving from 145.45 yen to 146.17 yen. However, it depreciated against the euro, moving from $1.0846 to $1.0779.
